Pilates Strength w/ Lani – Pilates is a low-impact exercise with a strong focus on deep core strengthening and creating muscular balance throughout the body. It works to improve postural alignment and muscular activation during movements. Pilates will strengthen and tone your muscles, improve your posture and flexibility while building deeper body awareness. Suitable for beginner – intermediate movers with options given throughout.
Functional Mobility w/ Lani – A mix of stretching techniques to improve strength & flexibility. Inspired by Yoga, Pilates & gymnastics training this class will improve mobility in ways you never dreamt possible. Suitable for all levels.
Pilates Fusion w/ Lani – A fusion of Pilates, HIIT, functional movement & mobility – Not for the faint hearted – feel the burn, love the burn. Suitable for fit and active, injury free individuals with a general understanding of movement and some history of Pilates or gym training.
Equipment to train with Lani: Mat, chair, thera-band, booty band, hand weights (0.5-2kg), yoga strap – no equipment, no problem, we can improvise.
Yin – Suitable for all levels. Yin works deeply in the body, targeting the connective tissues with its passive long held poses. Each pose is held for aprox 3 – 5 mins with a ‘rebound’ pose; lying in stillness, on the belly or the back, held for half of the time, in between poses. What you need: Mat, blanket, Yoga block or pillow or rolled up towel. Wear layers and/or have a blanket handy as it is very passive and you may get cool.
